Darknet markets.
Darknet markets are online markets that operate on the dark web and allow users to buy and sell illegal drugs, counterfeit goods, and other illicit items anonymously. The most famous darknet market is the Silk Road; it was launched in February 2011 at a time when Ross Ulbricht was still in his early 20s.
Onion websites.
Tor is a browser that allows you to browse the internet anonymously. Tor stands for The Onion Router, which is a network of servers that allows users to browse the internet anonymously. These servers are run by volunteers around the world and do not store any information about your browsing history or IP address.
The 'onion' part of its name comes from how data passes through several layers of encrypted encryption before reaching its destination, which makes it difficult for anyone to intercept communications on their way from source to destination (as long as you're using an SSL connection).
